We are Roger and Norah-Lynne Shann. We moved to the beautiful Isle of Skye in October 2014, but we had been regular visitors to the Island for several years, and always to the area around Waternish in the north-west. After staying in several areas around the peninsula we started looking for our dream home, which we subsequently found and started Hazelbank holiday accommodation to share our passion for the area.

Roger has a range of hobbies including cycling, fell walking, photography, travel and food and drink. He also has an interest in wildlife, which Hazelbank provides the perfect location for bird watching. A handy guide can be found in the apartment, should that take your interest. You may also see Roger during a trip to the popular Talisker Distillery, where he works part-time as a tour guide.

Norah-Lynne’s interests include walking, fine dining, photography, wool spinning and donning a wetsuit for some exhilarating wild swimming off the beautiful coastline of Skye. While also, enjoying a variety of arts and crafts, Hazelbank provides the perfect inspirational backdrop.

Roger and Norah-Lynne married in 2002 and between them have children and grandchildren that are all grown up and scattered around the UK and abroad. But currently share their home with Pumba the dog and Gracie the cat.
